European Poker Tour - The Televised Series

The EPT is filmed by award winning TV production company Sunset+Vine, and the show is broadcast across the globe. A fruitful combination of the skills of media professionals, poker consultants, designers and post-production engineers, the EPT will produce seven exciting programs, each of 90-minute duration, telecasting the most prestigious tournaments across Europe. Produced to be the most dynamic and stylistic series, each event focuses on the venue, players, the dramatic unfolding of every game and the heart-racing conclusion of each final table. It is designed to promote poker as a popular sport and the EPT venues as the best platform to play and showcase the diverse talents of poker players from across the world.

The grand finale at the magnificent Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco will serve to epitomize the conclusion of the series. It will include ten finalists and runners up six EPT preliminary events. These players will later compete for the title of the EPT Series 1 Grand Champion.

The series has been produced and created by a skilled team of talented professionals which include:

John Duthie – CEO/Executive Producer

He is a highly successful director and producer of several UK serial dramas such as 'Silent Witness', 'As If' and the BAFTA award winning series 'Clocking Off'. He is also recognized as a high stakes poker player and happens to be the winner of the 2000 Poker Million, broadcasted live on television. John Duthie is the only player to have won in excess of $1,500,000 in a live televised poker event. It was largely due to his feat that poker earned tremendous popularity in the UK. He also made it to the final table of the $3,000 No Limit Hold'em event at the 2005 WSOP.

His respected position, experience and familiarity with the international poker scene combined with his skills as a dynamic producer led him to design his brainchild in the form of the European Poker Tour. In 2004, John launched the televised European Poker Tour in association with PokerStars.com. Today, EPT has achieved the respect in the international poker circuit as being the most prestigious televised tour broadcasted to over 40 countries across the globe.

John Duthie is an expert analyst on the EPT TV show and also commentates with Colin Murray on it. He currently resides in London with his wife and two sons.

Thomas Kremser – EPT Tournament Director

Thomas Kresner is a highly respected director of tournaments across Europe. As the CEO of TK Poker Events International, he has brainstormed and initiated several festivals around the globe. Along with other televised tournaments he was also the tournament director of the innovative show Late Night Poker, a landmark of Channel 4. Thomas Kremser is involved with the promotion of poker as a recognized sport across the globe.
